The considered four samples are all classified as unequilibrated ordinary chondrites. The samples include Yamato-74156, Yamato-74191, Yamato-74647, and Yamato-75097. Attention is given to intrinsic and bulk densities and porosity, a sample description for thermal diffusivity measurements, a brief petrographic description of the unequilibrated samples, and the employed experimental techniques. The results of ultrasonic-wave velocity measurements are presented in a table. It is found that velocity anisotropy exists between transmitting directions for each sample. The elastic-wave velocities are influenced not only by the mineral composition but also by amount and shape of the pores.
