Some of the cloud-layer photographs obtained in the course of two months by a Venus probe are presented and discussed. The photographs are seen to provide evidence for the generally stable nature of the circulation and recurrence of cloud structures. The cloud structures observed included most of the cloud formation types recorded by Mariner 10 as well as some new formations.
