The support cell for the mirror segments of the Keck Observatory's 10-m diameter optical telescope primary mirror was manufactured in Spain, partially dismantled for shipment, and then reassembled at Mauna Kea. Photogrammetric surveys of the structure were conducted both in Spain and in Hawaii, the former to match acceptance criteria and the latter to ascertain the effects of shipment. All surveys indicated a precision of 0.03 mm rms 1-sigma. At least two more photogrammetric measurements are planned, before and after installation of the mirror subsegment support mechanisms.
