Intercosmos-17 data from October 12-13, 1977 were used to study the penetration of low-energy solar cosmic rays of varying hardness into the magnetosphere. Attention was also given to the influence of magnetospheric phenomena on the penetration of the particles. The electron penetration boundary was situated at Lambda = 75-78 deg during morning and daytime hours and at Lambda = 73-74 deg during evening and night hours. The region of proton penetration (energies not less than 1 MeV) was wider than the electron region; the proton penetration boundary attained Lambda = 74 deg during daytime and Lambda = 64 deg during nighttime.
