Cosmic Rays: Flares, Cosmic Rays: Relativistic Particles

Scientific paper

The peculiarities of the February 16, 1984, cosmic-ray burst are investigated on the basis of data of the global network of neutron supermonitors with short discretization time. The coordinates of the solar flare on the Sun responsible for the increase in the flux of relativistic protons in the Earth's orbit are determined. Indications are obtained that the maximum of the increase in the particle flux has a fine structure caused by processes occurring in the particle acceleration source.
