Results are presented of a long-term analysis of Pc 1 type micropulsations observed at the Sodankyla Geophyiscal Observatory (Finland), covering the 17th, 19th, and 20th complete 11-year solar cycles and most of cycle 21. A very strong negative correlation was found between the annual Pc 1 activity and the annual sunspot number. As a result, some of the differences between the various solar cycles can be seen in the corresponding cycles of annual Pc 1 activity. Results also revealed some new features common to the long-term variations of Pc 1 activity at high-latitude and midlatitude stations.
