PARTICLE is a collaboration of Rochester-area secondary school science teachers and particle physicists at the University of Rochester to support student-driven cosmic ray research in the classroom. At the University of Rochester during the summer, teachers construct cosmic ray telescopes and complete prototype lab activities for students. During the school year, students, teachers and physicists collaborate on experiments. Students then have the opportunity to present their research results at an annual ``PARTICLE Day'' conference in late spring. We present sample student research and discuss classroom outcomes and impact on participating University graduate and undergraduate students.
