Scientific paper

The paper examines the problem of the parametric generation of quantum squeezed states of light under spatially limited or pulsed classical pumping. A theory is developed which makes it possible to obtain an approximate analytical solution valid in the near-axis region of interacting beams (or pulses) at the initial stage of amplification. It is shown that the diffraction and dispersion spreading of the amplified wave leads to an additional phase shift and a reduction in the squeezing efficiency.
