We report the temperature, field, and time dependence of magnetization on sol-gel prepared nanoparticles of Ni(OH)2 . At higher temperature the system is found to behave as a paramagnet. As we lower the temperature the system undergoes paramagnet to ferromagnet transition. We also find evidence for superparamagnetic blocking on further lowering the temperature. We try to discuss the underlying mechanism.
