The value of the period of radial self-oscillations of the ionosphere
considered as a toroidal region has been calculated. The calculated
value of 90.1 min is confirmed by experimental data obtained at
different parts of the globe. It is concluded that the radial
self-oscillations of the ionosphere actually exist.
