Analysis of earth-based astrometric data for the position angles of marginal-zone lunar craters relative to the central crater, Moesting A, has been carried out. It is shown that the principal axis of inertia of the moon is displaced 289 + or 25 arcsec east and 80 + or - 12 arcsec south of the prime lunar radius. The results are in agreement with estimates of the physical libration constant obtained by Eckhardt (1981).
