A spectral analysis of the data obtained from the Prognoz 5 - 7 stations in the course of the experiment on the measurement of solar soft X-rays before hard X-ray bursts has been carried out (Kocharov et al., 1983). Several quasi-periodic components (with periods ≡1.5 hour, ≡40, ≡10, ≡2 min) have been found, and time variations of their parameters while approaching the burst have been studied. These components may serve as one of the indications of a pre-flare situation.
