The decay of the semimajor axis and the inclination of the orbit of an artificial Earth observation satellite is analyzed, considering the atmospheric drag perturbations in the former case and the lunar-solar gravitational attraction perturbations in the latter case. Finally, the orbit correction requirements, necessary for maintaining the satellite in the desired orbit, are defined.
