The optical characteristics of 200-mm Schmidt Cassegrain telescopes are given a full optical analysis. Intersection diagrams for optimized and aberrational designs for even and uneven image fields and for designs with two spherical mirrors and with adjusted and tilted mirrors are presented and discussed. Focussing on near objects and shading in the entry pupil are also addressed.
