The method of March for obtaining the boundary values of the Thomas-Fermi function at high pressure has been extended to the relativistic case with and without temperature perturbation. The boundary values of the non-relativistic temperature perturbed Thomas-Fermi function, obtained by the same method, are compared with the semi-empirical formulae of Gilvarry, thus obtaining a theoretical basis for the latter. The results of this paper may have some astrophysical applications.
