The relationship between sunspot number and 200- and 500-MHz solar radio emissions are analyzed for solar cycle 20. In addition, solar bursts are studied for the same period by defining burst intensity as the product of mean flux density and time duration of the burst. Bursts of low intensity are found to occur frequently during the period of sunspot number decline, while bursts of medium intensity increase in the course of the period of rising sunspot number.
