The linear relation between diffusion and height in the atmosphere is studied for a five-day period. The relation is determined by diffusion coefficients obtained from an eight-station phase-coherent pulse Doppler-laser meteor echoes. The radar meteor echoes are corrected for atmospheric wind shears which influence the diffusion constant and the ionization curve. The linear relation between the diffusion-coefficient logarithm and the height is then fitted with the least squares method and with a technique in which both variables are considered subject to errors.
