The long-term prediction of relativistic electron fluxes of the radiation belts in the 0.3-7 MeV energy range is presently carried out on the basis of computational models. However, numerous experimental data, referring to features in the electron spectra, as well as dependences of electron fluxes on geomagnetic activity, Dst variations, and the solar wind velocity, are not reflected in these models. It is suggested that these data can be used to supplement existing models and to effect the prediction of radiation-belt electron fluxes on time scales of about two weeks.
