An interpretation of magnetic surveys in the Atlantic Rift Zone is carried out using the method of analytic continuation of the field. The basic results are the following: (1)|Observed aeromagnetic fields are of complex interferential nature and of heterogeneous structure. (2)|When continued down to a depth of 1-2 km, there are no large ``non-disintegrating'' anomalies which might testify to the presence of large and homogeneously magnetized bodies at great depths. (3)|The ΔTa field structure is to a great extent determined by the bottom depth. (4)|Local anomaly amplitudes decrease exponentially with increasing depth 4-6 times per km on the average. (5)|Linearity of anomalies is slightly expressed within our sectors; local anomalies do not correlate on the profiles. (6)|Field sources appear to be located close to the sea bottom- and they are extremely non-uniform. Normally and reversely magnetized bodies are present.
