Possibilities are considered of application of a new class of multispectrum apparatus (SCIAMACHY, the Scanning Imaging Absorption Spectrometer) for high precision measurements of O3 and NO2 vertical profiles in UV and visible ranges. It is shown that application of the imaging spectrometer gives possibility to retrieve O3 vertical profile in height range 20 - 65 km with potential accuracy of 0.1 - 0.3%, and NO2 vertical profile in height range 22 - 38 km with accuracy of about 5%.
