Iapetus: Orbit Determination

Scientific paper

The analytical solution of the motion of Japetus is constructed to show
the way on which motion theories of natural satellites of the Saturn are
based. It is pointed out that the methods of numerical orbital
determination, with orbital elements as status vectors, should be used
in the precise orbital determination.
