This article examines the frequency-dependence of the shape of the first empirical orthogonal function (EOF) of sea level pressure (SLP) over the North Atlantic region for time-scales in the range 8 months-45 years. It evidences that the time-sacle chosen for conducting the EOF analyses had no incidence on the main features of the first EOF of North Atlantic SLP.
