The discreteness of the spectrum of Alfven waves propagating in the magnetosphere is investigated using the Dungy model. Particular consideration is given to the possibility of investigating low-frequency oscillations by means of the short-wave approximation. The quasi-classical solution is used to obtain the quantization condition. It is noted that probable regions of the localization of pulsations can be determined from the condition of spectrum existence.
