The velocity field in a large complex sunspot is investigated in Fe I line at 6302.5 A and in H-alpha with a spatial resolution of about 2.5 arcsec. The Evershed flow is almost parallel to the solar surface. For the inclination angle between the velocity and the horizontal, a value of 4.4 + or - 1.3 deg is estimated; an inclination angle of 11 deg is the definite upper limit.
