An investigation is conducted of the composition of lunar olivines in order to better constrain the cooling histories of samples, from an initial crystallization through re-equilibrations during cooling of the magma and in the subsolidus. Attention is given to the core region compositions of the larger crystals in each sample, in the interest of a characterization of the most magnesian olivine in the sample.
