The sample of clusters analysed in this work is based on the FSR catalogue. They determined a star density map based on 2MASS data (Skrutskie et al. 2006, Cat. VII/233) along the entire Galactic plane with |b|<20°. Star cluster candidates were selected as local star density enhancements and a total of 1788 objects were found. These candidates were cross-referenced with the SIMBAD data base.
