Basic relations of quantum mechanics are examined, taking into account the significance of the exclusion principle. Atomic, molecular, and nuclear relations are considered along with the density and the hardness of matter, the height of mountains, the length of water waves, and questions concerning the visibility of compact matter. Factors determining the size of a star are also discussed, giving attention to the derivation of a relation regarding the number of nucleons in a star.
