Results of limb observations of stellar scintillations performed on the
Mir orbital station in 1989 are presented. It is shown that the
scintillation spectra and the retrieved vertical spectra of temperature
fluctuations at heights of 40-50 differ significantly in the
high-frequency region from the spectra obtained at lower heights.
