SINCE December 20, 1968, we have observed a pulsar in the vicinity of the Crab Nebula with the longest period yet reported for any pulsar. Measurements have been made with the 1,000 foot diameter radio-telescope at Arecibo operating on frequencies of 111.5, 196.5, 320, 430 and 611 MHz. Preliminary reports of these observations have been made in IAU circulars1,2.
