The temporal variation of hydrogen emission-line profiles in the spectrum of Nova Cygni 1975 is studied. The results show that physical conditions were somewhat different in different parts of the envelope at the beginning of the brightness decline phase. Radial-velocity measurements are presented which indicate that the temporal variation of radial velocities was also different for different envelope regions. It is suggested that when the main envelope was ejected the ejection velocities were different in different directions.
