Fiber optics are in widespread use for multi-object spectroscopy. Although their ability to observe objects fainter than the night sky has often been questioned. We present a recipe for sky subtraction with fiber optics that allows adequate sky subtraction to better than 1% in the core of the night sky emission lines. Besides allowing a multiplex advantage, the scrambling properties of fiber optics allow higher precision velocity measurements than have been possible with classical slits. A discussion of image radial scrambling is presented. In addition, preliminary results from a velocity survey are given.
