This volume contains the proceedings of a meeting held in Summer 1998 which was devoted to the study of galaxy systems. The volume provides a good overview of recent observational and theoretical advances in the field, which in recent years has been one of the most exciting areas of research in cosmology. The papers mostly deal with the dynamics of galaxy clusters and groups, the physics of the intergalactic medium, the development of cosmic structures, and related aspects of galaxy formation and evolution.
