Scientific paper

Prognoz-6 observed the charge composition and energy spectrum of solar cosmic rays (in the 0.8-10 MeV/nucleon energy range) in interplanetary space. Five particular iron-rich events in the period September 22, 1977 to January 26, 1978 were analyzed. These five events exhibited iron-enrichment in the 1-4 MeV/nucleon range; at least four of the events exhibit He-3 enrichment.
