Using the NA11 spectrometer, together with a telescope of high
resolution microstrip detectors, 12 charmed F-meson decays into KK pi on
an estimated background of 4 were measured. The average mass is (1972 +
or - 2) MeV, the lifetime (3.1 + 1.2 or - 0.8) times 10 to the minus
13th power sec.
