The on-going Ulysses mission provides a unique opportunity to study the propagation and modulation of galactic cosmic rays in detail from 1 to 5 AU and from 80° South to 80° North latitude. The Kiel Electron Telescope (KET) measures the intensities and energy spectra of energetic particles separating electrons, hydrogen and helium. The instrument covers an energy range from ~5MeV/n to above 2GeV/n for hydrogen and helium. The highest energy channels correspond to mean rigidities of about 6GV and 12GV. The Kiel Neutron Monitor (KNM) is one of the longest operating Neutron Monitors in the world, it has been operating continuously since the IGY 1957. It is located at 54.34°N/10.12°E and has a cutoff rigidity of 2.36GV. In this contribution we use the KET and KNM observations in order to analyze the evolution of cosmic ray decreases observed by the both particle detectors.
