The amplitude and phase of a 2D mutual-coherence function can be constructed by means of second-, third-, and fourth-order intensity correlations derived from simulations of the Fourier-domain laser-speckle patterns. The phase can be explicitly reconstructed with the intensity correlations, and the SNR is discussed with reference to the measured integrated intensity. The SNR is of interest to intensity-correlation interferometry when the integration time is much larger than the coherence time.
