The Chandra HETG spectra of O stars reveal quantitative information concerning the origin, location, and temperature structure of the stellar wind distributed X-ray sources. As part of a Large Program with the Chandra X-ray Observatory, we have analyzed the` grating spectra of both early and late O stars to study the mapping between the X-ray line emission characteristics and the evolution of these stellar winds. In this study, the resulting X-ray and wind parameters for an O2 star are compared for consistency with those of later O stars. We also describe the complex data analysis techniques required to extract HETG spectra in crowded fields.
