The physical parameters of the NV Aur dust shell and central star were derived using optical and NIR data obtained by the 1.26-m IR telescope and the 60/90 cm CCD-equipped Schmidt telescope at the Xinglong Station, Beijing Astronomical Observatory, together with IRAS data. The results of the morphological analysis of the IRAS-LRS spectrum indicate that NV Aur is a Mira star that has just entered the optically thick stage. The results on NV Aur are used to derive a blackbody spectrum model.
