The study presents a procedure for numerical modeling and results of
gasdynamic calculations of asteroid impact on the surface in a
two-dimensional axisymmetric formulation for impact velocities of
≡50 km/sec and asteroid dimensions of ≡1 km. The effect of
gravity and radiation energy transfer are taken into account.
