Abstract

A global distribution and the time variation of the dynamio electric field driven by the 2-day wave traveling westwards with longitudinal wave number 3 have been computed. When this electric field transfers to the F region along the geomagnetic field line, it will play an important role in electrodynamic processes in the F region. It may be the cause of the 2-day oscillation of equatorial ionization anomaly.
