The accuracy obtainable in the measurement of spectral line intensities derived by numerical fitting of an observed spectrum is discussed. The intensity values show a small systematic variation according to the adopted value for the microturbulence velocity and are sensitive to a wavelength error of 0.02 A, while plate noise is of minor importance. A mean error of about 10 percent is derived.
