The notion "nontidal variations of the gravity direction" (NVGD) is defined and the problems of their determination are discussed. A classification of the astronomic geographic latitude variations in a given point of the Earth surface in the time is given. The importance for the geosciences and for Bulgaria of studying the NVGD is pointed out.
