Lectures in Schladming winter school 2001, 40 pages

Scientific paper

Lectures discuss applications of semiclassical methods based on instantons to
vacuum structure (chiral symmetry breaking), hadronic structure (various
correlation functions), and high energy collisions of hadrons and heavy ions.
We discuss phase diagram of hot/dense hadronic matter, and in the last lecture
review current puzzles/lesons from the first RHIC run in summer of 2000.
