In the scope of concepts of the two-dimensional vortex character of hydrodynamic turbulence in the torus of Io, connected with the development of the exchange (grooved) instability in the plasma of the torus, the nonlinear equations describing such perturbations are obtained, allowing for the effects of ionospheric conductivity. Estimates are derived for the characteristic size of the vortex and the magnitude of the perturbations in the electric field.
