A nonlinear transfer problem for polychromatic scattering is considered in the framework of general laws of frequency redistribution in a three-dimensional medium consisting of atoms with three discrete energy levels. The results of numerical calculations are applied to the sodium resonant doublet originating in solar atmosphere at transitions from the ground level to the higher levels 3p 2P(1/2) and 3p 2P(3/2).
