The results of the present numerical analysis indicate that at a frequency close to the maximum penetration frequency, a wave propagating in a region of pronounced diffraction in the F2 region will change the parameters of the medium. In the case of propagation along a one-skip path, these changes in the conditions of propagation may manifest themselves by the distortion of a weak wave by an intense wave of nearby frequency, emitted from the same point. The effect of the intense wave on the weak wave decreases with increasing frequency difference, since the propagation paths are essentially different.
