The trajectory of a particle thrown horizontally on the surface of a planet rotating at an arbitrary speed, as viewed by an observer on the planet, is calculated numerically and is subsequently compared to the trivially calculated trajectory viewed by an inertial observer. This provides an excellent example when motion in noninertial frames is explained in a mechanics course.
