Motivated by the suggestion that Born-Infeld plasmas could have significance
for electron acceleration in neutron star crusts, we obtain an upper bound on
the amplitude of electrostatic waves propagating parallel to a longitudinal
magnetic field in a Born-Infeld plasma.
