The conditions under which the adiabatic phases can produce a reduction in the solar neutrino flux are studied for a realistic model of the solar magnetic field. Within the adiabatic approximation, it is found that μ > 10-13 μBohr will produce a sensible decrease in the flux. The possible correlations with the solar cycle, as well as the corrections to the adiabatic approximation are briefly considered.
