In this work, nitrogen molecular spectra, in UV region, of air fluorescence emulator obtained using a LN2 cooled CCD sensor are presented. This sensor has been installed in a high resolution UV spectrograph designed to be used in electron beam accelerators for studying the air fluorescence yield. In such a low temperatures, the overall noise of the detector is minimized achieving the required sensitivity for operating in such experimental environment. Some preliminary dark noise studies and results of the LN2 cooled CCD sensor are also presented. Using this CCD sensor we recorded a set of nitrogen molecular transition lines in UV region. The transition line 1N(0,0) at 391.44 nm was used for evaluating the performance of the spectrograph.
